Case Studies

Originating from the deep forests of Småland, Sweden, and with 60 years experience in the offsite construction industry, we are proud of our many successful projects

Cabinovo - Ongoing

Location: Canada
Cabinovo is replacing aging single-family homes in established neighbourhoods with modern four-unit buildings that blend in, boost density, and stay affordable.

Triweco will deliver a state-of-the-art production line customized for steel-frame modular construction.

Some of the custom features of this line include sideways transported panels, a feeder table for the framing station to simplify the flow of heavy steel beams, and a butterfly table that can turn panels both forwards and back again.

CABN - Ongoing

Location: Canada
CABNs homes are built with CLT panels that provide insolation properties, and beautifully esthetic design. All wood is sourced from sustainably managed forests. Passive Haus building design maximizes the airtightness of the buildings.

Triweco will supply industrial house manufacturing expertise, advanced machinery, robotics (supplied by ABB) and software. Our advanced manufacturing line is designed to boost CABN’s home production capacity sixfold, enabling the factory to produce up to 300 homes annually.

Vårgårda Hus

Location: Sweden
Vårgårda hus is one of the leading house manufacturers in southern Sweden, with offsite construction produced successfully since 1987.

Triweco conducted a feasibility study with the task of increasing production from 320 houses/year to 450 houses/year in existing facilities. The solution was to replace 3 existing lines with 1 line with more automation, like automatic processing and nailing/screwing.

The cycle time for wall elements could be more than halved in the new line.

BoKlok

Location: Sweden
BoKlok is a residential housing concept providing sustainable home ownership for people. The concept is developed and jointly owned by Skanska and IKEA. To date, BoKlok has developed about 15,000 homes. BoKlok is currently operating in Sweden and the UK.

Triweco was tasked with designing and delivering 2 lines for BoKlok's new factory in Sweden. The new factory features a fully automated, high-output assembly line.

The modules produced are fully finished with kitchens, bathrooms, and all installations ready to be quickly assembled on-site.

Lett-Tak

Location: Norway
Lett-tak Systemer AS has been one of the leading suppliers of roof elements in the Nordics since 1980.

Triweco was commissioned to design and develop the production equipment for Lett-tak’s new environmentally friendly roof element, Lett-tak Wood.” This new product has a significantly lower CO₂ footprint compared to traditional solutions and is seen as the next generation of roof elements.

The production line includes several innovative features, such as automatic cleaning of surfaces to be glued, glue application with controlled flow rates, and gentle, careful flipping of the element—where the flippers automatically adjust based on the element’s current thickness.

Minera Trusses & Joists

Location: UK
We built a production line of wall panels for Passive Houses for Minera/TyEco.

Houses built to passive house standards are constructed so that all conceivable heat losses are minimized, and an airtight and well-insulated building is created.

With the upcoming release of the 2020 NBC and the move toward Net Zero Energy Ready by 2030, the transition in codes will require Canadian builders to increase the RSI value of walls and pay attention to airtightness.

We believe our expertise in this area is highly beneficial to the Canadian market.

We deliver machinery and software to leading house manufacturers for small- and large scale projects
